Image
General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has revealed why he will not seek vengeance against killers of Abuja preacher, Deaconess Eunice Olawale Elisha. Forty-two-year old Mrs Elisha was hacked to death by hoodlums on June 9 at Gbazango-West area of Kubwa, a satellite town in the Federal Capital Territory while preaching early in the morning. She was an assistant pastor at the RCCG, Divine Touch parish, Old NEPA road, Phase 4, Kubwa, before she was slashed in the neck and stabbed in the stomach by suspected religious fanatics. Adeboye, fondly called Daddy G.O by his admirers, said contrary to calls by eminent Nigerians that he should seek vengeance against killers of the evangelist, he would not do so. He said such move would be counterproductive just as it would be contrary to what the deceased wanted and stood for when she was martyred. According to the revered man of God, if Dcns Elisha was actually preaching to win souls for Jesus

Retired Teachers Commend Lagos Gov Ambode For Raising Standard Of Education

Image
Some educationists on Friday commended the Lagos State Government for efforts put in place in raising the standard of education. The educationists said in separate interviews with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that the present administration is investing heavily on education. A retired teacher, Mrs Mopelola Ogunwale, said that the state government had put in place so much to ensure effective teaching and learning. According to her, the challenge has been the inability of parents to complement government’s efforts by providing the necessary writing materials. “Government has provided textbooks for the pupils but because of some parents’ non-chalant attitude, some children are still lacking basic things like writing materials,’’ she said. She, therefore, urged parents to wake up to their responsibilities by catering for their children and wards. Welcome to Nigerian campuses where little girls are practising 'wifely functions'! Just visit the boys' hostels and you would be disappointed to find out that it is now common for a girl to live in with a course mate. It is now common for her lover to give her the popular compliment 'you look sexy my gal' and she would gladly reply 'thank you honey' with a flirty voice and a romantic smile. Who is her lover? A 300 level student whose CGPA is barely up to 1.78! And they are aiming for the next best couple award for the session by the departmental association. Ted Cruz's Poor Un-Sportsman Like Excuse For Not Endorsing Donald Trump

Image
"I am not in the habit of supporting people who attack my wife and attack my father. And that pledge was not a blanket commitment that if you go and slander and attack Heidi, that I'm going to nonetheless come like a servile puppy dog and say;   'Thank you very much for maligning my wife and my father'  - Ted Cruz. The Facts: Of course this excuse is lame and rather unsportsman like in politics.      By not endorsing Trump, he is not just not endorsing Trump but he is not endorsing the political party he claims to hold their beliefs.   Members of political parties have always had disagreements amongst each other and have always had members that said less than faltering things about each other and about each others family members since the beginning of politics & political groups many centuries ago.     It is not new.     However, when you a part of a group and somebody you don't agree with is appointed the leader; you have to follow the leader. It does

Electronic and Electrical Engineer (First Class Honor) from Obafemi Awolowo University where as a student; he was part of the OAU iLab team – research collaboration between Massachusetts Institute of Technology and OAU developing remote online laboratories that serves a good substitute to the conventional laboratories. He developed a system that allows students to control real laboratory equipment over the internet. The remote labs are a great substitute for experimentation in Nigerian university given the chronic underfunding of higher institutions of learning, we get to see about 10 students clustered around a piece of lab equipment. Fans Tell Wizkid: The Cannabis You Are Smoking Is Drying You Up

Image
By Kanicorp — Jul 16, 2016| Leave a comment Ayo ‘Wizkid’ Balogun, Nigerian singer who is currently at the peak of his career, has been given a rude awakening by his fans on social media. The fans of the Starboy label boss have advised him to tone down his penchant for smoking cannabis, also known as marijuana. One fan recently asked him on social media, “must you smoke all the time” while another enjoined him to reduce his intake of “hard drugs” because it’s starting to affect his appearance. Since he burst into limelight over six years ago, Wizkid has at different times, publicly displayed his love for smoking pot – in the same vein as some of his foreign friends and collaborators, Rihanna and Chris Brown. Hence, it is common knowledge among his fans that he occasionally indulges in smoking marijuana. In that vein of acceptance laced with concern, another fan also said, “smoke is drying you out… you need to take a chill or [get] high on something else”.
